Welcome to the Oxford Rugby Football Club’s exciting new website.

The Oxford RFC has a proud history in North Canterbury, dating back to 1883.

The club has had many successes during this time, winning many pennants and cups and, in more recent times, last won the North Canterbury trophy in 2009 and 2012. The club recently celebrated its 125th Jubilee, which was a great occasion and people travelled from afar to join the festivities. We look forward to many more celebrations in the future.

The Oxford RFC has a strong senior division, with 2 teams competing in the current season. We are proud to offer players a meal after training on Thursday nights and we have an alternate training venue in Christchurch that we sometimes utilise. We are privileged to have a new coaching partnership in Hugh Taylor and player/coach Marcus Taylor.

The club also has a very strong JAB, with 15 teams competing in the current season, including both an Under 16 and Under 18 team which is the first time in several years we have been able to field sides in these grades. This is a huge positive for the Oxford club. The club provides players and visiting teams with a free morning tea, the players receive club merchandise to wear, as well as goodies for player/sportsperson of the day presentations for our non-competition grades. For this we thank our many sponsors, without which country rugby at Oxford would not survive.

So please take the time to browse through our website and come along and be part of the Oxford RFC community.

Regards,

Les Inch
President.
